BATTLE OF THE BOYNE

Visit the historic site of the Battle of the Boyne where on July 1^st, 1690 King William III went to battle with his father-in-law King James II.

In a battle that saw the largest number of troops deployed on the battlefield in Ireland the idyllic riverside location was the place where 1500 men lost their lives.
